Pelham High School Student Wins State Title in Esports
Pelham High School junior Xavier Merchant made school history by winning the Madden NFL 25 state championship at the AHSAA Spring Esports Finals in Montgomery. He swept the defending champion from Bob Jones High School in a best-of-three series, securing Pelham’s first-ever esports state title. Xavier, who was coached by Spencer Stone, chose the Baltimore Ravens and earned hard-fought victories in both games. This milestone win marks a big moment for the growing Pelham Esports program.

Class of 2025 Senior Luncheon & Graduation Walk
Pelham High School students walked the halls of the elementary schools in caps and gowns on the day of their senior luncheon. The teachers and students at the schools always bring so much love and energy with their signs and cheers as the seniors walk the halls. This has been a Pelham tradition since the beginning of Pelham City Schools, and it is truly something special to see the students reunite with elementary teachers and feel the support of even the youngest Panthers.
