Out of 1.6 million applicants, the top 16,000 in the nation were chosen to be Semi Finalists based on their PSAT score. Scoring in the top percentile of these Semi Finalists, senior ALEX WILKINS named 2019 National Merit Finalist!

Senior, TRAMAINE MOORE, moves on to state oratorical competition. For the second year in a row, a PHS students will compete in the American Legion's statewide oratorical contest. Read more in the Shelby County Reporter.

Craft Academy Student Employee of the Month


Congratulations to Cameron McGaughy for receiving February Employee of the Month at the Academy of Craft Training! Cameron is a Junior at PHS, and is in the HVAC program.  He will be returning to the Academy of Craft Training next year for a second year in the HVAC program. He scored the highest this month in their employability matrix.  Great job, Cam!

Please join us in congratulating Dakota McLaren and Christian Arias for receiving January Employee of the Month at the Academy of Craft Training! 
Dakota is a senior and in the electrical program. Christian is a senior in the building and contruction program. 
Both scored the highest on their monthly evaluation this month amongst all other schools that participate in the program!

October- Student of the Month 
Fernando is a Junior at PHS and is in the HVAC specialty. He scored the highest this month out of all the other students from different schools in the area who participate in the program.  Fernando's older brother, Unicel also participated in the Academy of Craft Training in 2017, and his younger brother, Sergio hopes to participate in the Academy next year! Congratulations, Fernando!
