Primary Function: 
As a member of the system’s counseling and guidance staff, the high school graduation coach supports and guides students, particularly those at risk of not graduating, by developing personalized strategies and interventions that promote academic achievement and timely graduation. This role focuses on monitoring students' progress, addressing academic or personal challenges, and coordinating resources to help students stay on track for high school completion and post-secondary success.


Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor students' academic progress and attendance to identify at-risk students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and counselors to create individualized support plans for students.
  • Provide guidance on course selection, study habits, and time management to ensure students meet graduation requirements.
  • Work with families to improve communication and involvement in their child's academic journey.
  • Coordinate interventions such as tutoring, mentorship, and counseling services.
  • Facilitate workshops on college readiness, career planning, and life skills.
  • Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to help them succeed.
  • Assist students with navigating post-secondary education options, including college applications, scholarships, and financial aid.
