Congratulations to our SkillsUSA winners from this week’s state convention. This was their first year attending and they competed in three events.
Kyla Fulton placed 3rd in Advertising Design and the team placed 3rd in Broadcast News Production. The Broadcast News team consisted of anchors Shelby Hardy and Averi Smith, floor director Jada Winston, and director Roy Gonzalez. Mr. Foster is especially proud since they have only been doing a live show for a little over a month and still managed to place third in the state against more experienced groups.
Mrs. Foster and the PHS family are so proud of these kids and the group overall; they were the best-dressed group at the conference and represented PHS with a lot of class.

Congratulations to two of Mr. Foster's broadcast students! In February, some of the broadcast kids competed in Alabama Scholastic Press Association's annual convention at UA which was held virtually due to COVID. Averi Smith and Shelby Hardy won first place for News Anchor. Shelby also won first place for Sports Anchor. This is a big deal and they won over so many other talented kids and programs.  Shelby & Averi   Shelby H Winner

Our student teams in Management and Culinary won 1st place at the Alabama ProStart Competition this year! They will advance to Nationals held May 6th & 7th.

Please congratulate Andrew Bonham, a Ready to Work senior. Andrew received two job offers at the job fair held at the Finley Center last week. The representatives from both companies expressed that Andrew represented Pelham High School well and are super excited about the possibility of Andrew joining their companies.

We are so very proud of all of these students and staff! They are truly the Pelham Way!
